Edmontosaurus annectens was the last of the duckbill [hadrosaur] dinosaurs. It is considered to be the female [smaller and more numerous], to the rarer more robust male, E. regalis. Batteries of hundreds of stout teeth comprised a long grinding surface to masticate coarse plant material. Communal nesting indicates a social, herding animal. Named for the Edmonton Fm. in Alberta, Canada, it's size was up to 40 foot in length
