Though Troodon formosus was one of the smaller carnivores several features make it unique. The placement of it's large eyes shows a high degree of depth perception, a hallmark of successful predators. The brain size indicates it was very likely capable of pack or group cooperation in hunting. This man-sized meat eater appears to have survived for a longer period of time than most of the larger carnivores such as T-rex and Daspletosaurus.
